Roland Muller Set to Join Star-Studded Ceres-La Salle

In a bid to further bolster their squad, Ceres-La Salle FC coach Ali Go announced that Azkals goalkeeper Roland Muller is set to join the club in time for the second round of the United Football League.

Go confirmed the news last Saturday before his team faced Pasargad FC in the Untied Football League. The Bacolod side finished as winners in that game, handing Pasargad a 16-nil whooping.

“Roland is traveling here (to the Philippines) next month,” said Go. “We made an agreement already and I think I can say it now that it’s a finished deal. He will play for Ceres come the second round.”

According to the Ceres coach, Muller has signed a long-term deal with the club which already have Azkals Stephan Schrock, Manny Ott, Patrick Reichelt, and Martin Steuble in the lineup. The goalkeeper joins the Bacolod club after a loan spell with Etoile Carouge in the Swiss Promotion League where he made eight appearances. Muller’s contract with Etoile Carouge ends at the end of the month

Muller will be added by the club during the transfer window, which will run from July 18 to 31, or at the end of the first round.

“The team will have a little bit of change come the transfer window,” added Go. — CAL
